~Wineglass Painting, 11:00 to 4:00, Saturday, February 18~
We'll have the paints set up all day for you to come in paint your own wineglass. Bring a friend (or 2 or 3!), grab some wine, and have fun. Seats are limited so please call ahead to reserve your time. No minimum number is required for this Saturday event.
$10 includes all paints and a wineglass.

~Hosting a wine dinner? Here are some tips for serving wine at your party~
How to Toast
The host is usually responsible for giving the toast. But if your host is reluctant, you may quietly request that you offer a toast. Make sure guests are prepared, wineglasses are filled and that everyone is at the table. Tapping your wineglass will get everyone's attention. This sound was originally used to ward off the devil who was said to dislike bell-like tones.
Stand so everyone can see and hear you - everyone really wants to hear what you have to say.
The most memorable toasts are crafted from personal experiences and heartfelt sentiments.
Be specific about who and what you are thankful for.
Each guest should then raise their glasses and toast. (To not do so means that you dislike or disagree with the toast.)

How Much to Serve?
One 750ml bottle of wine holds five 5 oz. glasses. If you are having a party of 10 people for a couple of hours, figure 2 glasses of wine per person. You will need 4-5 bottles of wine. For 30 people, you will need 12 bottles or a case of wine. Because alcohol is dehydrating, always have water or another non-alcohol beverage available at your party. |
